How to Check Any Pakistan Electricity Bill Online
Pakistan's electricity bills are issued by regional distribution companies, called DISCOs, not by WAPDA itself. Karachi is the exception, served by K-Electric on its own system. All the other companies share the same official PITC portal, bill.pitc.com.pk, with one page per company. This guide lists every company, its area, and the exact steps to check a bill.
Which company is yours?
LESCO — Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib. GEPCO — Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin. FESCO — Faisalabad, Sargodha, Jhang, Mianwali, Khushab, Bhakkar, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot. IESCO — Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal. MEPCO — Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Rahim Yar Khan and South Punjab. PESCO — Peshawar and most of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. HAZECO — Hazara region. TESCO — merged tribal districts. HESCO — Hyderabad and southern Sindh, outside Karachi. SEPCO — Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Ghotki. QESCO — Quetta and most of Balochistan. AJK — Azad Jammu and Kashmir. K-Electric — Karachi and nearby areas. The company name is printed at the top of every bill, so check an old bill if you are not sure.
Step by step, for PITC companies
1. Open the Pakistan Electricity Bill Check page and choose your company. 2. Choose Reference No and type the 14 digits from an old bill, without spaces or dashes, and choose U for Urban or R for Rural to match the letter at the end of your reference number. Or choose Consumer / Customer ID and type that ID, usually 7 digits. You need only one of the two, not both. 3. Click Check Bill, then Open Official Bill Page. 4. On the official PITC page for your company, choose the same option, paste the same number, choose U/R again if asked, type the captcha shown there, and click Search. 5. Check the consumer name, billing month, units and amount, then print the bill or save it as PDF from your browser.
K-Electric, Karachi
K-Electric does not use the PITC portal. On the same tool page, choose K-Electric, type your 13-digit account number from an old bill, then open ke.com.pk and use its bills section with that account number. Do not try a PITC reference number for a Karachi bill, because it will not open there.
Duplicate bill, payment and problems
A duplicate bill is a copy of your official bill, accepted for payment at banks, post offices and mobile wallets. Once your bill opens, use Print, or Ctrl + P, and choose Save as PDF to download it. If the page says the number is invalid, check the digits and U/R again. If the captcha is hard to read, refresh it and type it exactly as shown. If the bill is not showing yet, it may not have been issued for that month. If you have no old bill, contact your sub-division office with your connection address and meter details. For LESCO, the helpline is 118.
